SBDR - NOT normal!
Email Message (HTML):
Dear DR Volunteers, This COVID 19 thing is keeping me hopping. It's so not normal. But our churches are engaging in very creative ways. I hope you are well and taking all the advice of the health pros. And as you are doing that, I also hope your church is loving your neighbors as much as possible. BRN DR is shipping masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer to churches who are ministering to their communities. It's quite an undertaking. I have about 25 of our trained volunteers, including 13 chaplains, identifying needs and meeting them, praying with pastors, and rallying our churches to support local food banks, and other services whose normal staffing has been depleted by the crisis. SOUTHWEST PA VOLUNTEERS, If you aren't i the risk pool and already assisting others, I'm asking you to make yourselves available to help the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank by signing up for shifts thru April. Do it now. They need help starting tomorrow. This is an incredible opportunity to make Jesus famous. Here's the sign-up link: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/gpcfb
Please push this out to your churches and friends immediately.
We are not postponing the April 24-25 training yet. The others will be rescheduled. And I'm posting a sign-up on dr.brnonline.org for the Emergency Preparedness Day at Allenwood Federal Pen. This will be an all-day live feeding exercise and more. I need 15-20 vols to pull it off.
Pray without ceasing. Be faithful. Be courageous. Be wise. For the Kingdom! -Kenton Hunt, DR Director, Baptist Resource Network
