SBDR/American Red Cross Training/Exercise
Red Cross has requested a joint training experience with SBDR of PASJ. Tentatively planned to take place at Country & Town Baptist Church in Mechanicsburg, PA, this will be a chance for us to set up the Feeding Unit, train on inventory, ERV line, and menu planning as well as include a dialogue with the American Red Cross volunteers. For us, the event will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 14. and end with supper on Friday. All who can stay to pack up the Feeding Unit will be greatly appreciated. On Friday, we will prepare 500 meals for lunch and 500 for supper. These will be prepared just like we would on the field using ERVs. The food will be delivered to local charities. For the Red Cross, this is primarily a Kitchen Site Manager Orientation. This is a high value training but of no cost to our volunteers. If you require housing, please email khunt@brnonline.org. Space is limited to 15 SBDR vols.
