Advanced DR Training - Living Faith Baptist Church
Advanced Disaster Relief Training is only for SBDR Gold Hat Volunteers. They are intended to increase competence in all disciplines utilized in Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. This is accomplished through hands-on experiences in an expanded format. These trainings begin Friday night and conclude Saturday afternoon giving the participants the option of experiencing overnighting that is standard on our deployments. Breakfast and lunch are provided on Saturday. Participants will be credited with "certification" in the courses they complete. Electives vary from one training to the next. Each Advanced Training has three periods. Courses may require 1, 2, or 3 periods and have additional prerequisites. So, it is important for trainees to pay close attention to what each course requires. There is a $10.00 registration fee for each Advanced Training. The courses offered at this training are: Kitchen (periods 1, 2, 3); Mold School (1); Shower/Laundry (1); Basic Chainsaw (2); Advanced Chainsaw (3); Assessment (2, 3); Administration (3)

Although completion of Basic DR Training is a requirement to become a badged Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Volunteer, Hands-On Training is also available for advanced credentials in most areas of our work.
